July heavy truck sales of 49,000 were the lowest July sales since 2016 and slightly lower than July 2016 (49,700).

Due to the impact of the National VI Super Vehicle Emission Regulations that were implemented on July 1 last year, the epidemic, economic slowdown, depletion of inventories, high oil prices, low freight rates and other factors have led to the current heavy truck market falling for 14 consecutive months.

Some experts pointed out that in the second half of this year, more than 2 trillion yuan of new special debt funds are expected to be effective in the third quarter, and cooperate with credit funds to continue to escort infrastructure investment.

Many experts believe that the new special debt funds of over 2 trillion yuan since May may be concentrated in the third quarter. At the same time, after entering the third quarter, the executive meeting of the State Council decided in June to increase policy banks by 800 billion yuan. The line of credit and the issuance of 300 billion yuan of policy and development financial instruments will also provide credit funding support for project construction.

In addition, the large infrastructure projects just launched in the first half of the year are also in full swing. There are about 24 major construction projects across the country, including 5 highways, 3 water conservancy projects, 3 housing construction, 2 wind power, 10 industrial park projects... A total of 15 provinces and cities are involved.

Although the sales volume of the heavy truck industry in July was not ideal, with the step-by-step implementation of infrastructure and the support of national policies, the commercial vehicle market will gradually improve in the second half of the year.
