Industry News: 7.48 billion, explosive growth of tire export in October

On November 23, the General Administration of Customs released the export data of automobile tires in October 2020.

In October, China exported 532,091 tons of automobile tires, a decrease of 18.2% on a month on month basis compared with 650,000 tons in September, with a year-on-year increase of 24.5%; the transaction volume was $1,136,316,000 (about 7.48 billion yuan), with a 23.6% month on month decrease and an 8.4% year-on-year increase.

So far, the total export volume of automobile tires in the whole country is 4,393,965 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 6.2%, and the decline rate is further narrowed. The total export value of the whole year is expected to exceed last year. The trade volume was $9,495,221,000 (about 62.53 billion yuan), a year-on-year decrease of 13.6%.

At the beginning of October, when the National Day holiday took place, exports fell month on month. According to statistics, the average operating load of all steel tires of tire enterprises nationwide is 72.08%, which is 0.87 percentage points lower than that of last month.

In addition, the export data of rubber tires in October, released by Shandong customs, dedicates that the total value of rubber tires exported was 6.34 billion yuan, up 2.6% from 6.18 billion yuan in September.

In the case of the overall economic decline of the whole country, Shandong's tire export continued to rise, rising for seven consecutive months, accounting for 82.6% of the country's total export value.
